While Chick Fil A does not officially have a secret dog menu, many locations keep some dog-friendly treats around to give to those adorable puppies that come through the drive-thru with wet noses and begging eyes. So next time you go to a Chick Fil A drive-thru, ask them about these items.

Doggie Treat

Many Chick Fil A’s keep doggie biscuits on hand! These treats are typically those crunchy milk bones.

But the treats given out do not come from Chick Fil A directly, so often, the manager and employees choose what kind of treats to keep in-store. Puppies love these crunchy biscuits, so ask when at the drive-thru window.

Pup Cup

If your dog is lucky, the Chick Fil A you visit may even have the pup cup. A pup cup is a small cup filled with vanilla soft serve ice cream and topped with a dog treat, usually a milk bone biscuit.

It’s perfect for cooling your dog down on a hot day or satisfying their sweet tooth if they’ve been extra good lately.

There’s often a pup cup on the Chick Fil A dog menu!

Dog-friendly Chick Fil A Items

The Chick Fil A secret dog menu is limited, with just two dog-designated items that may not be available at every location.

If you pull up to a Chick Fil A and they inform you they don’t carry dog treats or serve the secret dog menu items, don’t fret. You can still share some food with your pup.

Knowing what Chick Fil A menu items are safe for them and which are not is important. The last thing you want is a friendly bite of your sandwich giving them the runs or a tummy ache. Check out the dog-friendly menu items below.

Grilled Nuggets

The grilled nuggets are the best option for your dog. Chicken is a lean protein that adds nutrition to their diet, and they love the taste. Also, the grilled nuggets at Chick Fil A have sea salt and nothing else. So there’s no garlic seasoning that may upset their stomach.

It’s best not to give your dog the fried nuggets. While your pup will love the taste, Chick Fil A puts garlic seasoning in their batter mix. Giving them a little piece of a fried nugget isn’t fatal but is ill-advised.

Grilled Chicken Sandwich

Like the grilled nuggets, the grilled chicken sandwich’s only seasoning is sea salt, so it’s safe for your dog. It’s best to remove all of the toppings, including the bun.

A grilled chicken sandwich is about 400 calories, more than the suggested daily calorie intake for dogs under 20 pounds. So the whole sandwich is simply too much for most dogs.

If you decide to share the whole sandwich with them, don’t use any sauces and remove the onions. Onions and other alliums put stress on a dog’s digestive system. And they likely won’t enjoy the lettuce, but it isn’t bad for them.

Grilled Chicken Club Sandwich

The same rules apply to the club sandwich. The chicken is fine, but it’s wise to remove all the other components. But if you want to treat your four-legged pal, you can give them the bacon strips for which they’ll go nuts.

When sharing any chicken items with your dog, opt for grilled over fried. The fried items won’t do irreparable damage but may make your dog uncomfortable later.

On the other hand, you should avoid giving your dog spicy foods at all costs. Any spice or food with the compound capsaicin is not good for dogs. It’s rough on their tummies and may also bother their tongue; they cannot enjoy spice the way we can.

Cool Wrap

The cool wrap is safe for dogs, but they likely won’t enjoy it as much as the items above. If you give your dog a cool wrap, it’s best to only give them the shredded grilled chicken without any sauces or extra seasoning.

But if you give them the entire wrap, none of the ingredients are harmful to them. It’s just a lot of calories for a little dog.

Waffle Fries

Potatoes are not excellent for dogs because they’re high in starch and calories. But the Chick Fil A fries are only seasoned with sea salt, so your dog can safely have one or two if you’re feeling generous.

When it comes to waffle fries, it’s important to practice moderation. Giving them a whole side of fries is not good and may cause minor digestive problems.

Icedream Cup or Cone

Dairy also isn’t the best food to give your dogs, but most pups can have it in small quantities with no issues.

If you’ve ever given your dog a piece of cheese you were snacking on or a lick of your ice cream, and they didn’t have a negative reaction, it’s okay to get them a little cup of ice cream.

The cone is also safe for dogs to eat, but dogs should not consume much sugar. It’s best to split a small ice cream or cone with your dog rather than let them have the whole thing.

Final Note – Chick Fil A dog menu

You should only share Chick Fil A items with your dog as a special and rare treat. Don’t make it a regular thing, as it may cause obesity, diarrhea, or constipation.

But sometimes, it’s okay to indulge them in small quantities. After all, junk food isn’t awesome for humans either.
